The Adventure Girls

The Adventure Girls (Zoe, Annie, Chloe, and Jen) had a good time by the river. They got to pick rasberries, and find some treasure. Sadly, Chloe found a fish hook with her foot, and that marked the end of today's adventure. But, The Adventure Girls will ride again! Stay tuned!

Nature

My new 300 mm lens (thanks mom) got some use today. We found a few birds, turtles, and bugs around. And some green stuff. All right there in the outdoors. Crazy. Even the new 3D Nintendo does not have all these features.

The Mill

We accidentally walked at this end of the Susquehanna State Park. It was pretty neat. The mill still works, and they were milling corn. I am not sure the building is up to code, as far as the electric stuff goes.

Butterflies

Saw a few butterflies on the short stroll today.

Sentry

This toad was hanging out on our screen door to keep the bugs out of the house. Thanks, toad.

Toad

This time our nature find was a toad, the brown half of this duo. He is hiding in the pole for the umbrella.

Firefly

Here is the half moon in vicinity of 39 degrees, 37 minutes North; 76 degrees, 16 minutes West last night. If you use your big brain you can figure out what time it was. Also, a picture of a firefly, although it is hard to make out. It is the orange blur. No pictures of a firefly, or Firefly.

Cats

William and Orange Julia are looking down on their kingdom from the heights of the grill.

Supervision

This cat wants to make sure the fish Zoe and Annie won at the fair feel welcomed, and follow the rules of the fish tank.

Visitor

A turtle came over for Tim's birthday. The kids all welcomed it.

The PTA Fair

The Parent - Teacher's Association at the school the girls go to has a small "fair" every year. This year the kids got cotton candy and played a game where a contestant can win a fish. They each won. Annie won on the first try. Zoe won ... um, eventually.

Zoe

Here is Zoe, in the lens of my sunglasses.

Field Day

Every year Zoe's school has a fifth graders versus staff game for field day. This year the game was kickball. Here is the principal getting a point, and Zoe's teacher on first base. And one of the teachers tagging a kid out. The kids were pretty good to the teachers, and only ran a little bit faster than the adults.

Kiss a Pig Day

Zoe's principal had "Kiss a pig day" because the kids read a lot of books and brought in a lot of canned goods. The pig was big. The owner walked the pig to school, which took about five minutes. Sneaky Max jumped up to block the good picture. Some of the other teachers also kissed the pig based on deals they had made with their classes.
